About Me
Hi, I'm Leslie Luft. I was born and raised in the upper peninsula of Michigan, where I currently reside today. I have always had an interest in art since I was a child, and have pursued that passion through many creative projects through the years including graphic design work, production pottery, and teaching various art classes.
Spreading the joy of art and teaching have been a passion of mine in the recent years, and I am now offering Paint Parties as well as selling my handmade pottery in person at various shows!
Art Experience
2013
I graduated from high school with honors, taking Art I & II and two years of Independent Art Studies. Senior year I completed a Graphic Communications Certification from a local technical facility, DIISD.
2017-2020
I started as the Director for the Crystal Falls Contemporary Center in 2017, and started instructing after school art classes and adult painting classes as well within the first six months. This is where I was introduced to ceramics.
After one private lesson, many youtube videos, and hundreds of practice hours I began teaching pottery as well.
2020-Current
In 2020 I fully dove into my home studio and made handmade production pottery my main focus for a while.
I took a 2 year break from ceramics while moving, and set up a new studio space in late 2024, and have my first pottery drop coming April 2025.
I also host and instruct private paint parties in the Iron Mountain, Mi area.
